Since I haven’t posted in over 9000 years, let’s recap.
L4D2 and MW2 were both released, both of which I own.
Now, Left 4 Dead 2’s demo was amazing and fun and all that, but when I finally got to play the real game after some waiting, due to having to depart to school after it finally decrypted. I’ve not really had much fun or anything to keep me playing at all from this game, it feels just like a repeat of the original with new guys and guns. Too many chargers appear and not enough of the old crew, the levels are much longer and rather than being scary and cool like Left 4 Dead, they’re bright and shiny, leaving me to sit in the sun bored as hell just hitting zombies with a frying pan that doesn’t even actually make contact with them.
I can see why people like it, and I can find that little ‘awesome’ in it, but it’s really not enough to keep me going. I’d give it around a 3.5/10.
Modern Warfare 2 has had me on the edge of my seat so often during gameplay, the multiplayer is simply amazingly fun and due to Valve’s awesome deal with Infinity Ward, it’s Steam only, so no more tracking down and emailing back and forth to make friends in-game. You find the rare occasional hacker, but that’s nothing but a mere speed bump in the fun of this game. I love the weapons, the storyline and the way things have changed since MW.
I don’t see as many bragging idiots as I did when I played COD4 a few times, it was too much about rank over gameplay, while MW2 is the opposite. I’d give it a 8.5/10.
General updates; I finally picked up my dad’s guitar from the old house, still trying to get around how different it feels from bass or electric, with the chunkiness of acoustic, but it’s still playable to a fun extent. I’ve repeatedly found out I’m playing my bass wrong, and now I think I’m finally doing it right and normal, but either way, it sounds exactly the same and was easier before trying the ‘normal’ playing styles, so why do people complain?
