Recently my parents went on holiday (I chose not to go) and I’ve been left with Adam for 2 weeks, watching the pub and helping out. I broke my right click so now I’m using my old 4-button mouse and other than that, nothing much has changed. I cleaned up my room, though, if that counts.
Cool Story, Bro.
August 23rd, 2009Sony Ericson W595 Review
August 18th, 2009I guess I need some content, so let’s do some reviews.

The W595 is a fairly new SE phone, and is sleek, stylish and smooth, and Vodafone have their own limited edition, which is actually the one I have.
It’s a less-than-fast OS, but it runs ok. It supports Java, Flash Lite, and displays the web good for a normal phone. It has a decent camera, at 3.2 MP, with a con of not being able to zoom unless you use less than 1 MP (It’s selectable.)
It comes with shake and flick features, similar to the accelerometer of an iPhone or iPod Touch, but less sensitive and it only detects sudden movements, but it allows you to change the volume or change song by flicking up, down, left and right while holding the Walkman button.
If you didn’t already know, the W595 is (kinda obviously) a Walkman series phone, so it comes with GREAT speakers that sound better than my old PC speakers, and as good as hell. It’s not that loud, but it’s loud enough to hear it in a crowded area decently.
When I bought the phone, it was £120ish, but it’s dropped to £99.99, so if you were looking for a good phone under £100, here’s your sarcastic chance.
Don’t be ripped off, on Amazon it comes in around £100-£150, but there are the odd few at £200+, about those.
It comes with a USB cable, and the disk with a media manager on it, to make it easier sending files in and out of your phone if you’re not the brightest with finding the right folders.
Overall, I’d really recommend this to someone with a tight wallet, someone who’s looking for a decent phone for a decent price.
Categories
August 18th, 2009Just because all of my posts are categorized random doesn’t mean I’m lazy. Ok, it does, but it doesn’t mean I can’t be- DAMN IT.
Well, I’ve been watching the first season of House, and I’ve got to say, it’s more dramatic than the new ones, gets you hooked.
Update: I’ll go fix that in the theme, and remove the categories and comments altogether.
Apple Store, Bowlers and Volume.
August 16th, 2009Yesterday (It’s 2 AM.), me and Adam took a trip down to the biggest computer market in the EU, which takes place every Saturday at Bowlers in Manchester, in Trafford Park. After picking up some speakers and a lightscribe drive, we went into the Trafford Center.
Now, I saw the Apple logo reflecting in a window, turned around, and went straight in. Never been anywhere close to one before, and being able to try out all of their stuff was real fun. I specifically liked the iMacs, but they’re a few touches out of my price range. After that, we got pizza and went home.
Once I tried the speakers, the bass boost was amazing, but overall they were nothing special, until I turned them up. Holy shit, I mean seriously holy shit. They were louder than Jeff’s big professional speakers, which are like 0.7 metres tall. My 4” square mini speakers, were louder, and the subwoofer was murdering my desk.
It’s amazing how we think of size when it really means nothing.
Golf, and sleep.
August 14th, 2009Today I went golfing for the first time, did crap, only managed to putt it once in the whole 9-hole game. I wasn’t counting my score and neither was anyone else, because it was just practise for me.
Sleep, I don’t get enough of it, I took 1/4 of a sleeping tablet last night and I’ve seriously never had such a good sleep in my life.
On another note, my emotional well-being is a lot better the less I use my PC, now I’ve not been on it for 4 days and today is just to write on my blog. I won’t be staying on for more than 2 hours a day anymore.
